The JetCat PRO Engines offer maximum integration and installation. All system equipment required for turbine operation is fully integrated under the turbine hood. Apart from the supply battery, the fuel tank and the control signals, no further external subsystems are required! The control signals are output on a data cable terminated with a 15-pin SUB-D connector. Power is optionally supplied via the power cable with XT60 plug for direct battery connection.

The JetCat PRO Engines are designed for maximum integration and ease of installation. All essential systems required for turbine operation are fully built into the turbine itself. Apart from the supply battery, fuel tank, and control signals, no additional subsystems are necessary. Control signals are provided via a 15-pin SUB-D connector, while power is optionally supplied through an XT60 plug for direct LiPo battery connection.

JetCat-PRO Engines Functions – Integrated Engine Components:

  • ECU (Electronic Control Unit)
  • Integrated brushless fuel pump
  • Fuel and kerosene start valves
  • Fuel filter
  • Kerosene starter
  • Barometric height/pressure sensor
  • 4-pin Molex extension connector (e.g., for smoke pumps / fuel pump)
  • Vent opening with integrated one-way valve (for pressurizing the fuel system)

Power Supply:

Operates with a 3-cell LiPo battery (3000mAh or higher) via XT60 connection.

Data Connector (15-pin SUB-D, male):

  • 1× Power-On control signal
  • 2× PWM input channels (e.g., RC remote control; THR / AUX)
  • 2× Independent RS232 interfaces (for computer control or turbine interconnection)
  • 1× Analog voltage regulation / sensor input
  • 1× JetCat Bus interface (for GSU, LCU, flow sensor, BMS system, etc.)
  • CAN bus interface for control and data reporting

Starter Versions:

Standard Starter Version (PRO-S): Equipped with a brushless starter and a new low-wear clutch that is resistant to oil film.

Generator Version (PRO-GL): Features a brushless, non-contact starter/generator with “soft coupling.” Includes an integrated DC/DC converter with charge control for buffering/recharging the turbine battery. Supplies up to 85W charging power even at idle speed.

Generator Version (PRO-GH): Uses a brushless, non-contact starter/generator with “hard coupling” to the turbine shaft (no mechanical contact). Provides high generator output up to 900W. Supplies unregulated 3-phase AC power, with voltage proportional to turbine speed (e.g., ~12V/7.5A at 33,000 rpm, ~35V/22A at 100,000 rpm through a rectifier network).
